Indonesia holds first Independence Day event in new capital
The government of Indonesia's plan to move the capital from Jakarta to Nusantara reached a milestone Saturday, as President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo for the first time led the country's Independence Day ceremony in the city emerging out of the Borneo jungle.
Jokowi officiated at the gathering to mark the 79th anniversary of Indonesian independence at the new State Palace in the center of Nusantara. The dark, eagle-like structure of the Garuda Palace, a landmark of the future capital based on the eponymous mythical bird, loomed behind.

While others argue and fight about what to do next , China is just ploughing ahead , in so many areas. You can pay with your face , your palm or QR code for example. Driverless taxis and buses is going nationwide in the very near future. In so many directions they are making amazing progress. The future rewards the brave

It started in Singapore in 1998 where we seek to develop sensors and computer vision. That started the step by step push for AI GPU, which is helmed by Mobileye and Nvidia. Now there is pilot trials in major cities in Red China and Pacific rim. Come August (Wuhan is first with 600 robotaxi) Beijing, Shanghai and a few more cities will do the same. The robotaxi technology combines computers, phones, vehicles, semi conductor, new materials and will make possible humanoid robots, space colony remote management, hyper efficient stores, mass customised manufacturing. It also introduce new energy systems. Well it took 24 years to achieved all these. 😂❤

Seriously, trying to reinvent the wheel, seriously stepping over a dollar to save a dime. It's not biodegradable and tales longer than plastic to break down, and the energy required to make it far outweighs the benefit of having it, also if it can be recycled it has shelf life, meaning it can only be recycled in ever decreasing amounts then it has to be discarded, and it doesn't biodegrade, so then what, now our dumps are filled with plastic harder than steel. What a joke

India should carefully avoid getting entangled in military alliances. Our defense forces should focus only on defence of india. We should resolve border standoff with china and sit this one out instead of sleepwalking into WW3 in a fight between US and china for primacy and superpowerdom.

The US is continuing with its strategy to keep Asia poor and divided. This policy was articulated in the top-secret U.S. Foreign Policy written 76 years ago. Japan and the Philippines are cornerstones of this policy. February 24, 1948, Declassified U.S. Foreign Policy: Furthermore, we have about 50% of the world’s wealth but only 6.3% of its population. This disparity is particularly great as between ourselves and the peoples of Asia. In this situation, we cannot fail to be the object of envy and resentment. Our real task in the coming period is to devise a pattern of relationships which will permit us to maintain this position of disparity without positive detriment to our national security. ... that Japan and the Philippines will be found to be the corner-stones of such a Pacific security system and that if we can contrive to retain effective control over these areas there can be no serious threat to our security from the East within our time. Taiwan was added to the Pacific security system after Chiang's army retreated to the island of Taiwan in 1949. South Korea was added after the Korean War in 1953. The attempt with Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia was abandoned in 1975. The 1989 attempt in China failed. The 2019-2020 attempt in Hong Kong also failed.

There was a time when I thought Japan was very different from China, that Japanese products were well engineered etc. But now it turns out the Japanese are even producing fake bread made from trees. What's even worse: nanosized materials are carcinogenic. The particles are too small to be recognized by our immune system, and theferefore many of them stay in the body. I have lost all my respect for Japan.

This virtue signaling is so empty and shallow and meaningless. I understand that climate nazis love feeling smug and give themselves head-pats but every time I see a video like this I am going to intentionally burn plastic in my fire pit. If anything we want climate change to be as harmful as possible because suffering builds character...for everyone who isn't black I guess. It just makes them worse. We have a bunch of fat, spoiled, entitled, lazy narcissists and some good old fashion suffering and struggle will transform them into useful people. If you have to struggle to survive you won't be talking about pronouns or virtue signaling about eco-friendly marketing gimmicks.

Not the same thing. Crystalline cellulose is isolated, removed, and concentrated from the amorphous cellulose and lignin of the wood. It is the crystalline cellulose that has the very high strengths at low weight when combined with some kind of plastic resin. Wood typically only contains between 35% to 50% at most, total crystalline cellulose content (bast and cotton fibers more though).
